Overall very good sounds, with great selection of solo intruments and ensembles. However, in proportion to Vienna Strings and Winds, everything needs a serious boost in the mixer. The brass is just too quiet, the horns being especially soft. In my opinion the horns also lack some body in the sound. Overall I would recommend. Especially if you are planning to purchase any other Vienna samples.

Horns: The horns need significant work on volume. Even at ff they are too quiet, and you cant tell the difference between mf and f. Trombones/bass trombone: These sound amazing if you want them for a crisp march feel. They are great with staccato, but they are not great with sustaining notes out. They die out pretty quickly and aren't loud enough. Tuba: Its great Trumpets: these are great as well, but they also struggle with sustaining notes. They also need options for muted. Overall: Everything needs to be reworked to be able to play gracefully and smooth. Everything seems to be meant for playing staccatos and stabs. The slurs make it sound atrocious, and the notes die out very fast. Overall I say 7.5/10.

I really love how clear the trombone tuba and trumpets sound its so goof i wish they had vibrato also accents need to be fixed they sound weird and the horns sound terrible when playing 8th notes it sounds like its tonging and playing just quarter notes

The brass parts are amazing for impacts or technical bits, however they are not as friendly towards lyrical phrases.

This is by far the best brass library for MuseSounds. If there's any VSL pack to buy, it's this one. Stock MuseSounds can have really unpredictable behavior, especially in the brass instruments, this doesn't have that problem. Spitfire brass sounds great, but it's often even more unpredictable in how it plays back the score. Audio Imperia's brass instruments are predictable, but don't sound nearly as good as the other two. This library is both extremely predictable (as in it plays back the score correctly/as written) and sounds incredibly good. I would say it genuinely sounds better than any of the others.

Again, the sound quality is spectacular, and with the update many of the bugs are fixed. For me, however, these are just personal preferences. The Solo Horns and Trumpets have too much crisp in them and the legato is not noticeable. You can use them for certain scores, but the music I write (Movie/TV Scores and Video Game Soundtracks) I would usually prefer solo instruments to be more melodic, smooth, and swelling. The Legato for all instruments is also not enough for my style. That said, the sound quality really matters when making music for Stage/Screen, so again it is worth it. A lot of this is personal preference and some of you may find use in the louder, crispier soloists.

I just miss a Horns a2. But the sound is really excellent.

Bass parts are good for “explosion like” sound. However, other instruments virtually have no vibrato making them sound like a ‘metallic-organ-robot’. I hope an update will fix this.

I also use the Berlin Brass and Muse Brass but Vienna provides a nice alrernative in terms of its timbre and sonics. Nicely done!

I like how you can hear the person play and not the machine play, you hear the tounging on faster notes, and staccatos are clean. The timing is extremly accurate and all the low brass balances nicley to the high brass. They should also add Harmon and cup mutes to trumpets
