Description

Recorded in London at the beautiful AIR Lyndhurst Hall, this collection perfectly complements the rest of the Spitfire Symphonic Collection. With a wealth of recorded articulations, techniques, and details, this library adds depth and nuance to your compositions with the unmistakable Spitfire sound. Four years in the making, this comprehensive collection includes the standard orchestral lineup and expands it with modern and esoteric instruments, such as the bass flute and contrabass clarinet. Symphonic Woodwinds Muse Sounds Edition features samples from Spitfire’s flagship “Symphonic Woodwinds” library. For this Muse Sounds Edition, we curated the best and most usable articulations for notation playback. The result is a collection of woodwind soloists and ensembles that sounds great and is easy to use.

Overall, it is a good sound pack, especially compared to the default muse sounds. It sounds great and works well with orchestra style scores, but there are a few problems. -Bass flute doesn't work at all. ive tried to use it yet it never makes any sound. if everyone has a fix please help. -Contrabass Clarinet is awesome, however the lowest note it can play reverbs way too much even with low reverb enabled, and the Bb on the staff barely sounds, plus on some notes (most notably the lowest ones and the G/F on the staff) have the sound of the keys moving. Some people may find this realistic, but I disagree. I rather it sound good than be realistic with key sounds. For example, the Contrabassoon doesn't have this problem. So why does the Contra Clari have this problem?

Berlin does a better job and the Muse free one even sound better. I thought Spitfire would be better than this.

Especially on bass instruments, there is a strange and unpleasant volume change with each note. I bought this sound pack mainly for the contrabass clarinet and I was really disappointed. Also, the samples already have reverb.
