Muse Woodwinds used to be my fave, but I noticed that most of the woodwind instruments have a delayed trill, and I don't really like that, but this library gives off that same detailed sound with more variety and and better trills.

For the most part, I am very happy with this! Great samples! However, the English Horn is slightly buggy, especially when there are grace notes.

I really love how they sound it sounds very pretty my lower reeds are louder now but Im sad that the flutes and clarinets are so quiet I want them to be more louder and first flute doesn't really sound like a flute

The bass clarinet has too much "buzz" that makes it unusable, it is overpowering and you can hear it over other instruments. It should have a beautiful sound... it doesn't.

I really like the Berlin Woodwinds. There's a lot of variety in the sounds but there's a shocking amount of reverb on every instrument, even when I have no reverb applied! I understand that there's probably not much that can be done about this since the samples have already been recorded and refined. The articulations are still a bit iffy too, particularly the transitions between them. It is still early days so hopefully any future updates will fix these issues but other than that, the pack is great!

I really find the quality of MS Basic better than it is with Orchestral Tools. Maybe it is just personal preference… but I really don't like the articulations.

Note: If you like your Musescore staccato the way it is, this might not be for you. All it really needs is updates.

Theres almost nothing bad to say about this amazing winds library. The samples are high quality with a subtle but beautiful natural reverb, and theres also multiple flutes, oboes, and clarinets. The winds blend very well with Berlin Strings and Brass. My only criticisms are the low winds are slightly too loud, and everything else is ever so slightly too quiet. It would also be nice to have a contrabass clarinet.

Has many of the same problems as musesounds such as staccatos being much louder or quieter seemingly at random, accents sticking out way too much on some instruments. Different instruments have very different interpretations of the same exact notation (see my review of the free Musesounds Woodwinds) Slurs everything unless marked with articulations. Slur markings have no effect. Some blatant wrong notes: Eb clarinet trills are all very wrong. Shocking that these made it past any amount of testing before release, especially for a premium sound pack.
Balance problems throughout, especially with auxiliary instruments. The demo shows sound flags in use. This is a lie, the instruments do not currently support sound flags. Many rhythmic problems as well: unevenness, notes cutting out, etc. One advantage over the free musesounds is that the trills start immediately, making them much more viable for fast music. While the samples sound nice, MS basic does a better job at representing what’s on the page than both this and the free muse sounds. However, with updates, this has the potential to be very good.
