Description

This definitive percussion library, full of life and character, provides a solid foundation for your orchestral compositions, performed by renowned British percussionist Joby Burgess. Expertly recorded in The Hall at AIR Lyndhurst, famous for many blockbuster scores, it complements the rest of the Spitfire Symphonic Collection. The library includes all essential symphonic percussion instruments needed to add power, rhythm, nuance, and detail to your scores. It features a wide assortment of large and small, tuned and unpitched percussion instruments—thunderous timpani, bass drums, cymbals, mallet instruments like marimba, tubular bells, vibraphones, a variety of snare drums, small toys, and many of Joby’s personal favorites. The Muse Sounds Edition contains samples derived from Spitfire Audio’s flagship Spitfire Symphonic Percussion library. This edition uses a curated set of samples from the Decca Tree microphone position, providing a balanced and realistic sound perfect for blending with other libraries in the Spitfire Symphonic Collection. Muse Sounds Edition libraries are exclusive versions of leading sample libraries, reprogrammed and optimized for Muse Sounds’ unique playback engine. They typically feature a single mixed mic position and curated articulations ideal for notation playback. Instruments with true legato or portamento transitions use Muse Sounds’ bespoke legato engine for smooth, connected lines. Advanced storage compression ensures the libraries don't max out your device’s storage.

- Improved drum mapping

The percussion is super impactful and intense and sounds great! However, there are some problems like sound flags bugging and making the instrument silent until reset, and also I would love if there was an orchestral kit, allowing multiple instruments on a staff. Other than that, worth the money.

Overall it's pretty good and is much better than the free sounds. However I would like some more sound flag options for things like friction mallets and being able to make graduated sets of mallets would be nice. But yes overall this is much much better than what they offer for free. Also for anyone wondering, heres the full instrument list: Agogo Anvil Bass Drum Bongos Cabasa Castanets Celesta Claves Congas Cowbell Crotales Cymbals Desk Bells Field Drum Gankogui Glockenspiel Gong drum Guiro Jawbone Marimba Mark Tree Piatti Rain Sheet Ratchet Rivet Cymbal Rototoms Shakers Ships Bell Sleigh Bells Snare Drum Tam Tam Tambourine Tambourine (yes theres actually 2 - idk the difference) Temple Blocks Timbales Timpani Toms Trash Metals Tubular Bells Vibraphone Wind Gong Wood Blocks Xylophone
