How to use effects plug-ins in Audacity

But if you're dabbling in audio for the first time, Audacity and effects plugins are the perfect place to start. Audacity is the world's most popular free editing tool, and easily accessible within the Muse Hub.

Get Started

Step 1: If you haven't already, go to musehub.com and click the "Download" button to download the Muse Hub store.

Step 2: Follow the installation instructions to set up Muse Hub on your desktop device. Once installed, open the application and download Audacity for free.

Step 3: Open Muse Hub and navigate to the "Plug-Ins" tab. Browse, download or buy any plugin you want to install. There are free plug-ins available from the Muse team, alongside powerful plug-ins from leading developers. Wait for the downloads to complete.

Step 4: Once the plugins have successfully downloaded, launch Audacity.

Step 5: Start a project in Audacity. To make sure your plugins are recognized by Audacity, go to ‘Analyze → Plugin Manager → Rescan’ to detect new plugins.

Step 6: To apply plugins to your track, select the 'Effects' button, which will open a sidebar. From there, select 'Add effect' and choose the effect you want to use.

Step 7: To open the visual interface of your plugin, click on its name in the Realtime Effects sidebar.
