Luthara Veyl 1.0.1 is a major sound-engine, expression and workflow update focused on deeper physical modelling, stronger instrument identity and more natural musical performance. The update introduces a substantially expanded physical string model. All 17 instruments have been individually revoiced with distinct excitation, harmonic, pickup, nonlinear, contact and damping characteristics. The new Model page provides detailed control over transient material, playback rate and pitch, velocity timbre, pickup behaviour, string nonlinearity, dispersion and bell-like harmonic morphing. A new String Geometry workspace adds five physical excitation shapes, adjustable pluck position and contact width, velocity-sensitive contact movement, instrument-specific dampers and moving pickup observation. The editable String State display provides direct visual control over the pluck, pickup and damper positions. Physical note-off behaviour has also been completely recalibrated, giving every instrument a smooth, natural and clearly audible release instead of an abrupt cutoff. Expressive performance has been expanded with sixteen physical articulations, capo-aware fretboard mapping, hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, MPE note expression, polyphonic aftertouch, CC74 timbre and continuous held-note retuning. Historical and world temperaments, Scala import, MIDI Tuning Standard and MTS-ESP integration provide extensive tuning flexibility. The new Design, Body Studio and Filter sections offer much deeper sound-shaping possibilities. Users can customize individual strings, virtual microphone arrays, body resonances, multimode filtering, filter envelopes, drive, key tracking and velocity response. External audio can also be used to excite the physical strings and instrument body. MIDI workflow has been significantly improved. Arpeggiator patterns and recorded performances can now be dragged directly into a DAW as tempo-aware MIDI clips. Generated MIDI output, performance recording, full-length arpeggiator gates and expanded chord/arpeggiator behaviour make Luthara Veyl much more practical for composition and live performance. Preset handling has also been refined with deterministic, bank-aware Inspire variations, user-preset browsing, favourites, Factory/User/Favourite filtering, reliable project recall, A/B comparison, undo/redo and parameter locking. New instances now open with the complete Classical Nylon Guitar sound. Finally, version 1.0.1 adds Live, High and Ultra modelling quality, improved chorus and long-tail reverb processing, extensive stability and MIDI lifecycle fixes, Universal macOS AU/VST3 preparation and a comprehensive release-quality system covering all instruments, controls, presets, effects and real-time behaviour. Luthara Veyl 1.0.1 is not simply a maintenance update—it is a substantial evolution of the instrument into a deeper, more expressive and more physically responsive acoustic-string synthesizer.
