Luthara Veyl is a deeply expressive physical-modelling instrument for acoustic strings, built around 17 individually voiced instruments. Rather than relying on traditional samples, its modelling engine recreates the behaviour of strings, excitation, pickups, damping, body resonances, and other acoustic characteristics, giving you detailed control over how each instrument responds and evolves. Shape performances with 16 physical articulations, adjustable pluck position and contact, instrument-specific dampers, hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, and continuous held-note retuning. Support for MPE, polyphonic aftertouch, and CC74 timbre adds further expression, while historical and world temperaments, Scala import, MIDI Tuning Standard, and MTS-ESP provide extensive tuning options. Go deeper with the Model, String Geometry, Design, Body Studio, and Filter sections. Customize individual strings, transient behaviour, harmonic character, pickup response, virtual microphone arrays, body resonances, filtering, drive, and more. You can even use external audio to excite the physical strings and instrument body for experimental sound design. For composition, Luthara Veyl includes expanded chord and arpeggiator tools, performance recording, generated MIDI output, and tempo-aware MIDI drag and drop directly into your DAW. Preset tools include Inspire variations, favourites, filtering, A/B comparison, undo/redo, and parameter locking.
